Service Description

PLEASE BRING A PHYSICAL COPY OF YOUR VOUCHER ON THE DAY AS PROOF OF PAYMENT - Lessons cannot be honoured without the voucher present Please arrive on time for a little tour so you can get acquainted with the studio and process of ceramics.  Your private lesson entails 2 hours of a hand building lesson. At the end, you will make two pots maximum per person, glazed and fired for you to collect at an agreed date. Two of the pieces you make from 1lb balls of clay, will be trimmed, glazed and fired for you. For any others made, it is £10 per piece and anything above 1lb will count as two pieces. We will be making mugs, bowls, vases, sculptures or pinch pots! I will demonstrate as we go along to ensure you are able to follow and don’t get lost. It’s a great introduction to clay and is recommended for kids 12 and under. Book as many lessons as suit your schedule and vouchers. These lessons are for non-professional people. Please enquire about professional prices Decorating and /or glazing are a lesson in themselves, so remember to book time to learn about glazing, trimming, slips and oxide techniques and to glaze your work. IN THE INTEREST OF COVID SAFETY AND CLEANLINESS, PLEASE BRING: an apron and a small towel Rebooking allowed once with 24 hours notice.  Once booked for a lesson, you may reschedule once.  A missed appointment without at least 24 hour notice will result in a forfeit of your voucher and lesson. Any lesson rescheduled, is subject to the price at the time of rebooking and must occur within a month window of the original booking or by the expiration of the Voucher (whichever is longest)..

Cancellation Policy

To cancel or reschedule a class or course, please phone or text a week in advance to give me a chance to fill your space and offer it to lower income students. Refunds are only given 14 days prior to the start of your course. See course details for further information. Please check Junk mail for communications and make sure to get in touch about 1:1, 2:1 private lessons about payment and confirmation of lessons if nothing is received a week before your appointment. No payment, no communication from you means no appointment.
