Service Description

A 5 week course for students who want to learn how to hand build with moulds, coils, pinch pots and slabs and decorate work with your own art or simple geometric patterned sgraffito, slip inlay or use underglaze transfers (some are available for purchase or bring your own) You will be making a minimum of 4 pieces for decoration (bowls, plant pots and vases, mugs, coasters etc) Classes taught with the careful, hands-on instruction and advice of a university trained and 18 year experienced teacher. Throwers are welcome, so long as they are competent, as the class will be focussed on hand building and decoration. I love to work with different colour media and surface design and expand your knowledge of these. I encourage my students to experiment and have equipped The EPS with underglazes, slips, oxides and glazes to allow for a wide range of choices for decorating your work.
