Service Description

10 week, 2.5 hour sculpture course. Get your creativity back! Hand Building and sculpture class for students with little to no experience and those with some experience in clay sculpture. You will learn the basics and more advanced techniques of Hand Building and sculpture in clay; how to create mugs, vases and sculptures from pinch pots, slabs and solid blocks of clay. In this course we will be working to create torso vases/wooden spoon holders, tea light cottages as well as sculpted plant pots etc. I love to work with different colour media and surface design. I encourage my students to do the same and have equipped The EPS with underglazes, slips, oxides and glazes to allow for a wide range of choices for decorating your work. I have been teaching throwing and hand building for 20 years and learned many skills along the way that I will share with you to ensure that you succeed in this class and leave with pieces that you are proud of.
