Service Description

A 10 week course for students who want to learn how to create more complex pieces on the wheel or improve then skills that they already haves. Classes taught with the careful, hands-on instruction and advice of a university trained and 18 year experienced teacher. We will aim to create a minimum of 2 of each exercise per class but you are most welcome to work at your own pace I love to work with different colour media and surface design and expand your knowledge of these. I encourage my students to experiment and have equipped The EPS with underglazes, slips, oxides and glazes to allow for a wide range of choices for decorating your work. I have been throwing for 30 years and learned many skills along the way that I will share with you to ensure that you succeed in this class and leave with pieces that you are proud of. COURSE PACKAGE: 2 Hour COVID safe class Demonstrations and instruction from an established ceramic artist Access to expert advice via Wix or Facebook Slips, glazes and stoneware firing included Space in the studio to leave your clay for the next week Opportunity to join The EPS Hands on Clay, pottery user's group (HUG) after , 8 week courses taken in the studio Clay is to be purchased separately on this website before class begins 1/2 bag of clay - £6 - £8 Full bag - £12 - £14 Purchase any clay you think you can throw. Crank is not easy on the hands ;-) IN THE INTEREST OF COVID SAFETY, PLEASE BRING An apron, rubber glove, small towel or cloth and a regular sized bucket as well as a large yoghurt tub I am really looking forward to getting back to teaching ceramics and would love you join me in this new, Covid conscious studio. * As long as you withdraw two weeks before teaching begins, refunds accepted, minus 3% transaction fee charged by Wix. After this period, all tuition fees are non-refundable If you cannot complete a short course because of illness, you will be able to retake the course without further payment provided that the course fees have been paid in full. Refunds are not available once a period of study has commenced.*
