Service Description

A rare opportunity to learn how to make a one part, slip casting or press mould in plaster. This course will be taught by Becca who has a Master of Fine Arts degree in sculpture, and over 20 years’ experience working in mould making and casting techniques 2.5 hour Workshop History and methodology of mould making Mould prep and casting of mould and clean up All materials will be supplied. All pieces can be glazed and fired for you to collect at an agreed date and time PLEASE BRING AN APRON ALONG AS WELL AS AN UNCOMPLICATED SHAPE NO BIGGER THAN 10X10 INCHES TO REPLICATE IN A PLASTER MOULD - if the shape is too complex or too large, we will provide an alternative You may take your moulds away with you at the end of week two or leave them in the studio for use. * So long as you withdraw two weeks before teaching begins, refunds accepted, minus 10% transaction fee. After this period, all tuition fees are non-refundable If you cannot complete a short course because of illness, you will be able to donate your remaining lessons to local folk in Craigmillar community or pass them on to a friend. Refunds are not available once a period of study has commenced. If a course is unlikely to run, you will be informed a week beforehand about it and again a couple of days before it commences ( 100% refund will be issued )*
